New pics

I just realized it has been ages since I posted any pics. Julie, Nanny and I.
J the basketball star.

This week I met up with my blogger friend Judy. We took a mini-trip to some outlets and she met us there to let the kids play. I finally got to meet Emma, Judy's niece!

Miss M......cute as a button!

This is my two babies...M is her bikini and J ready for the hotel pool.

M gets really fussy around bed time. To calm her, I run the water. I filled up the hotel sink with water and put her feet in it- She loved it! Well, Big Brother J wanted to do it too...Nuff said...

My little rock star at his friend's Hannah Montana B-day party.

Girl's Night

Life has been crazy here in our house lately, with new baby, new schedules, new everything! So last night, I went out with my two "besties" for a lovely, low-key dinner. I SO much needed it. We had some Mexican food, yummy sangria, ate dessert and talked and laughed for almost 3 hours! I laughed so much- more than I have laughed in a long time. I even wore lipstick AND mascara! (You know it is a special occasion when I wear them both) It makes you feel more normal that all of us moms have the same feelings, problems and concerns in our lives and can talk about them w/o feeling like a loser! I didn't get pictures...in my haste to leave, I forgot my camera! Anyhow, we had such a good time. I see them all of the time with the kids but it was great to eat and talk uninterrupted. Good times! (Did I mention the yummy sangria???) We decided we need to do this more, so I am already looking forward to the next hoop-la!

3 months

For three months today, we have been a family of four. IT is so weird how I cannot remember life before Little Miss M. It is as if she had always been here. At 3 months, she is smiling and cooing like crazy. She holds her head up really well and loves to observe the world around her. She smiles at her big brother when he talks to her. She loves her bath, her swing and her mirror. She looks so pretty in pink. Her cheeks are larger than the rest of her face- so chubby! She sleeps about 9 hours a night and has been for weeks. She is such a sweet baby. We are so blessed. Her smile melts my heart. We are really learning her signals, when she is hungry or when she just wants us to hold her tight so she can sleep. She loves her binkie. She has gorgeous blue eyes and some red hair growing in...My g-mom (dad's mom), my Aunt Cynthia and cousin Becky all have red hair so it must be in the genes. (BTW- Becky's son Tate (8 months perhaps) looks freakishly like M!...weird)
Anyhow, I will post her 3 month photo soon.

Prayers needed

My g-mom, a.k.a. Nanny, fell Thursday night and broke her hip. She had surgery on Friday and is recovering. Please pray for her healing and my mom's sanity as she deals with all of this. Thanks!

You know I love snow....

but I need spring. I need to get out of the house in the evenings, especially when hubby is at work, and take a walk. I need some sunshine. My poor, poor skin needs moisture. I have never used so much Eucerin and Aquafor as I have this winter. My legs look like an alligator's skin. My hair is so staticy...yuk....
Don't get me wrong- I like winter; snow days are what I live for in these LONG winter months, but I live in this area of the U.S. for a reason.....4 seasons! Just when I get sick of one, the next one comes around.
So come on spring!

You might be a teacher if...

-you smile from ear to ear when you look out the window and see white stuff falling from the sky.
-six of your teacher friends call you between the hours of 4 and 7 to discuss the probability of it snowing enough to close school.
-you know the time of day it needs to start snowing and how much it needs to snow in order for them to close schools.
-you love snow more than the average child.
-you wake up in the middle of the night to see if it is still snowing or started snowing yet.
- you get giddy a week in advance if the 7 day forecast even mentions snow.
-you know all of the snow dances and even though you know it is a myth, you still wear your PJ's inside out if they are calling for snow.

If these all apply to you , you might be a teacher!

Happy snow day!
