So I found a site that was easy to use, http://www.leeloublogs.blogspot.com/. It was super easy to change the background. I think it looks cute. I tried one of those sites to make a picture header but I couldn't figure it out without wanting to throw the computer on the floor! :)
Not much else is going on. It was one of those uneventful weekends. Our only problem was that J's soccer coach never informed us of his soccer pictures. We almost missed them. Another parent showed up at the field and found out that we needed to go elsewhere for the soccer picture. I was so mad and his coach was so apologetic. He didn't miss the pictures so all is well that ends well. He also had school pics this week and since I have spent a fortune on these pictures, I doubt I will attempt a "formal" sitting at Penny's or such until the little girl is born.
We are also trying to agree on a paint color for J's room. The current green color doesn't go with his new bedding. Then we will be painting the nursery. Good times!
Today, J and I are headed to my sister's house. We are going to make my dad a picture book to send to the rehab center in Florida. He is feeling blue and flowers just aren't his thing so we thought this would pick up his spirits a bit. He isn't sleeping well there and just wants to go home. Please say a prayer for his strength. He seems to be feeling better and his awful coughing has stopped but he can't sleep which we all know can make you crazy.

7 Things...
One blog I follow posted 7 things about himself that we may not know so I thought I'd do the same. The only reader of my blog that might know these things is my sister and she rarely reads my blog so here it goes!
1- When I was 3 I was bit by a basset hound on my face, on my cheek to be exact. I was eating and he knocked me down to get the food. I had 50 stitches going from inside my mouth and out. I had 3 or 4 surgeries with a plastic surgeon to make it less noticeable. No one ever notices it or they don't say any thing. I had a student the other day ask me if I had stitches on my face and when I told him why, his eyes grew huge! It is a great story but a long one. I don't recall a minute of that night, which is a blessing.
2- I don't like crabs. Yes, I was born and raised in Maryland, but I don't like crabs. not crab cakes, not crab dip, not crab balls. No crab. I tell strangers (who look at me like I have 6 heads when I say no thanks to crabs) that I am allergic, but I'm not. I just don't like them. nuff said.
3- I always have my toenails painted. Even in the winter. I don't like my feet without my toes painted. Without painted toenails, my feet look just like my dad's. I also think that if your toes are showing, you should paint yours too. But that is just my opinion!
4- My sister, mom and I used to find it fun to eat M&M's with pretzel sticks. This was before we discovered chocolate covered pretzels. I still love it when I realize that I have M&M's and pretzels in the house, which is rare.
5- I am a chocolate snob. I like certain kinds. I will not eat the crappy "Chocolate flavored" brands that they sell at the drug store. I like Hershey's and Dove but will not eat cheap chocolate. I also prefer the simpler kids of chocolate, not filled with nougat, nuts or crispy's. Not that i wont' eat them, but a nice Hershey bar will do just fine. I love Wockenfuss Candy, a B-more local company. They make the BEST candy. I worked there for 2 years in high school. Great job!
6- I wanted to get married in the fall. Since I can remember, I wanted an October wedding, with fall colors, fall weather. Instead, I had to wait until I had a week off of work when it wasn't too cold or too hot. Spring break it was. It rained. It was tax day in 2000. It was a beautiful event despite the rain, but I always envy people who have a fall wedding.
7-I really like my nose. Weird? yes. However, I have never liked much about my appearance, but out of myself and my 2 siblings, I got the best nose. No offense Jules, but you got mom's nose with the bump. My dad's nose is not really like mine either. Maybe I got a mix of the 2 parental noses. But I have a nice nose. Not too big, not bumpy, just right. Now if my allergies would let me breathe a bit more....:)
OK so there you go. 7 things about me that I am SURE you didn't know! What about you?

Cute blogs
I check out several blogs. I like to read about other people's lives. Makes mine seem kinda normal. I was wondering where everyone gets thier cute blog pages? They look like scrapbooks! I love to scrap (when time allows) and would love my page to look cute! If anyone has some sites to visit that let you make cute pages, let me know!
I have also been reading a blog of someone I don't know, named Judy. She had the most fun thing on her blog---a contest! She found the cutest magnetic refrigerator pouch at Target and had a blog contest! She drew a name of all of the people who commented on her blog . I didn't win however, I did go out and buy the pouch at Target. (Judy- I am so mad- they only had one left!) It was sucha cute idea. If I ever get more than 4 people who actually read my little blog, I may steal the idea! So fun!

10 kids and golf clubs
Watch your ankles! There are 10 kids with golf clubs!
We held J's friend party at a mini-golf course. The forecast was terrible- rain, rain and more rain. Needless to say, it turned out sunny, hot and humid! I was so thankful that we didn't have to reschedule. 10 kids on a golf course = total chaos. I think only 2 of them actually played golf. They were more obsessed with the little river and the water traps than anything else. They ran around on the course, and acted like crazies but they had fun!
Here is J with his pink golf ball. He had a blue one but it went into the water and was too far in to reach with the net. He chose pink- not that there is anything wrong with that! :P
Now look at the picture below- four kids, standing in the river. We eventually made them follow the rule but the guy working at the place wasn't paying much attention (he was sleeping in the office to be exact) so we let them play a bit before enforcing the rules once again. (This is not typically me- I am a big rule follower but they were so funny- I let my guard down for a few minutes. Plus, the guy was asleep for the love of God!)

J's Spiderman cake was the hit of the party. Of course, the kids hardly ate anything- a few bites of pizza, a bite of cake-- they just wanted to "play" golf! We didn't even open gifts till we got home! The kids just decided they would rahter play! (Once again, that is not me- I think kids need to open gifts and show appreciation for what they have but the other parents said that it was fine- the kids were having a ball!)

We had about 10 kids there and they all played together well. You never know how it will go when you have kids from all over: preschool, PreK, other school friends, home friends, etc. But they all played well together and the party was success. The nice thing was we were home by 1 and we all got a nap. After 2 parties, a crazy week at work in the heat and being pregnant, I was spent!I got a much needed nap and chilled out the rest of the day.

Family Party
We had J's family party at our house. I think the hit of the party was his new WALL-E Leapster game. (I don't know how to rotate pictures on the blog) We had to pry him away from it to eat cake!
He was really into making weird faces that night. This is him before we sang to him. PErhaps he wasa little out of sorts? Perhaps excited? Crazy kid!

Update
Just a quick post to say that J LOVES his new bunk. I will post pics of him later but he slept all night and even climbed down in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and got back up on his own! This morning, he made his bed on his own and was very proud. He has adjusted to the "change" well. We are so proud of him and relieved that we are not up all night with him because he is scared or nervous.
Also, dads surgery went well. I talked to him today and though he feels like "garbage", he is progressing well and was sent from CICU to the step down unit today! Yay! Please pray for his continued healing.

Bad mom?
I feel like a heel. We decided that instead of getting new furniture for the baby, we would buy J new bunkbeds. We took him to the store and he was sooooo excited. He has been talking about it and could not wait for the bunkbeds to come in. Well, they are arriving Monday and so this weekend, we had to clear out his room, put his furniture in the other bedroom for the baby, and clean his room really well before the new stuff arrives. So we moved out everything but his bed and night table. Well, poor littel guy, he cried all evening. He doesn't want a new bed. He doesn't want the new baby to have his furniture. He wants his stuff back. He cried himself to sleep last night despite Paul and I talking to him. He woke up at 4 Am, came into my room and said he wanted to sleep in our room. This morning, he said they same thing, that he wanted his stuff in his room. I feel like a shmuck! If he is freaking out over furniture, how will he react to the baby? I am praying that once he gets the furniture tomorrow, he will forget his sadness. I know that it has been an emotional weekend for me with dad having the surgery, but my boy crying (and this is not crying like a spoiled brad-crying, but real sadness and confusion) is killing me! Am I overreaccting?

Dad
My dad went in for an angioplasty yesterday. earlier in the week, a stress test said his heart was not pumping enough under stress. When they went in the blockage was worse than expected and now he is having a bypass on Monday or Tuesday. He lives far away from me and I cannot be there and it is killing me. His g-friend is there and I know she will be with him. However this is HEART surgery! I was a mess last night and prayed for some peace. I think I will feel better when I talk to him today. So please say a prayer for my dad and for my family.
Did I mention my mom has a 6 mm kidney stone? Yeah, we found that out this week too. Never seems to end. Of course, now she is the final one in the famly to have a stone, as dad, my bro and sis and i have all had one or more! Not fun!

Fun night
Last night we headed to the Drive in movie again. This time, we were much more prepared. We took the bug spray, blankets, chairs and snacks. Wall-E was showing again and J seemed to enjoy it again. I think the part he liked best was that he had a friend to play with! Our nephew and his wife attended and thier friends Jen and Josh brought their kids. J and Luke were such good playmates. I think there were only tears once! They shared toys and J's light stick. At one point, I had both boys on my (shrinking) lap and they were hugging. So cute! They were both so good, especially considering it was super late. We actually made it through 2 movies, the secong being Longshots. It started Ice Cube and Keke Palmer. It was about a little girl who plays football. It was cute, predictable, but certainly appropriate for families. J and I left after that movie. We were tired and cold! ( One thing I didn't think I'd need- a sweatshirt!) Luckily, my son slept till 8 today. I needed the sleep!
