Playing Catch up

I am going to catch up with pictures from the past few weeks....

J's class held a Mother's Day Program. It was precious. They sang songs, did poems, made gifts, etc. J was a butterfly in one song. His friend P, the little red-head next to him, was a flower. Too cute!

My baby boy!

Miss M had many firsts. She started using the Exersaucer. She loves it!
She is also eating solid foods. Out of all she had tried, she is not a huge fan of peaches, but loves everything else! Girlfriend is all about the food! She gets excited whenever she sees the spoon.

On Mother's Day we went to my mom's house. We had a nice lunch. That Saturday, a neighborhood boy dropped off a kitten to my mom, the crazy cat lady. Of course, it is hard to resist such a cute little thing. Mom named him Joey. He sat on Nan's lap the entire time and slept. It was very sweet to see and she loved every minute of it!

Yes, is the picture above, my son is wearing a Snuggie. My mom got my sister and I each Snuggie.http://www.blogger.com/www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xZp-GLMMJ0 or http://www.getsnuggie.com/ If you have never seen the creepy commercial, it is a blanket with arms. J loves it. He wears it every night now.

Miss M turned 5 months. 5 months~can you believe it? Time flies!
She certainly loves her big brother. He is the only one who can get her to belly laugh---a sound that melts my heart. To watch them interact is so touching and beautiful to watch.

M has also found her toes. She grabs them and sucks on them....She is so close to rolling over but just doesn't want to...Lazy girl!

And toe-sucking in the tub---even more fabulous!
M has also been "enjoying" watching her brother play Tee-ball. Today was in the 80's before 11 AM and needless to say, she was not enjoying the heat. So after he batted the last time, we went to the car for some AC!

The Big Race

ON YOUR MARK!

Get Set! False Start! Oops!

GOOOOO! Run J Run!

Friday was the Third Annual Race for Education at our school. The kids get sponsored and run/walk as many times as they can around a 1/4 mile circle. This was J's first and he did 11 laps! Way to go!

The whole family came out to see him. Mommy and Daddy walked with him, No pictures since we had the camera!

Grandmom and Mom-mom made it down the hill safely to walk a lap with their grandson.

Aunt Ju-Ju came out to support J and was dressed for work. Though she wore heels, she walked a lap with her nephew! What a great Aunt! He was so happy that she was there that he told all of his friend, "Look! That is my Ju-Ju!"

Even Little Miss M came to root on her big brother. I enjoyed showing her off, of course!

Our little guy was so exhausted that night but we were so proud of him for all of his walking/running! Way to go Buddy!

Miss me?

I am still alive! Our DSL was out for two weeks and I have been busy, but I am here....
Here are some highlights of the past three weeks:
  • I attended J's Mother's Day program at school. His PreK class made many gifts for us moms, sang songs, did poems, and we even danced to "My Girl"..(yes, get a tissue- it was the sweetest thing!)
  • Little Miss M is eating all sorts of foods now...applesauce, peaches, prunes, pears, sweet potatoes and squash. She is all about the food!
  • I have 17 days left...but who is counting????
  • J and I have been planting flowers in our spare time. My little gardener.
  • M is yet to roll over. Lazy little girl.

I will post pictures another day. I have some cute ones of M with her food face!

Why I really think Face Book is cool...

I was very reluctant to join Facebook I have to say. But I am so glad I did. I have had several cyber reunions not only from college and high school, but form elementary school. It is so cool! I also reconnected with several childhood friends from my mom's neighborhood which had been fantastic! One girl, Jen, and I have not seen each other since we were maybe 14 and that was one time. Before that, I hadn't seen her since I was maybe 9 or 10. We have "chatted" and just totally reconnected. Have you noticed how people come out of the woodwork? My elem school principal, my 6th grade teacher, Paul's old coworkers. Crazy! Of course, most people friend you to be nosey and see what you have been up to, see your pictures...I admit I have done that a few times...but some people really want to know how you are.....and that is cool.

and if you want to be nosey but not be their friend, you can accept a friendship and then delete them w/o their knowing.....or if they creep you out, which some of my old "friends" have, you can delete them too........I have done it, you know....... :)

So I am going to stop my post here....so I can get back on face book! :)

Opening Day

J's opening day for t-ball was Saturday. This year, we play for the same rec but just a different team. This year he is a Sidewinder. It was a beautiful day. Tons of sunshine, temps in the 70s- perfect weather!
My little Sidewinder!

Even Miss M was ready for a day in the sun!

J's friends P &C were on his team last year. C decided not to play this year and P is on an older team this year. We still sat with them to watch the parade. C was such a little mom to Miss M. Se was holding her and playing with her. It was really cute! The parade started with the Tee ball teams and then the older boys and girls for baseball and softball. After the parade, the poor kids had to sit and listen to the Person-in-charge drone on and on for 45 minutes in the hot sun. The cool part was the Rita's Italian Ice came and gave away free Italian ice! YUMMY! We brought a picnic lunch and ate before J's team had a mini practice. The 2009 C-ville Sidewinders!

Easter

We had a nice Easter weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon at my mom's, with Julie and Tim. Mom fixed a yummy dinner and M got a chance to wear the gingham dress Aunt Ju-Ju bought her before she was born. Needless to say, she was as cute as button!
Here is M with Uncle Tim. He didn't get this close to J until J was at least 2 years old! We are making progress!
Grandmom got M this cute eyelet bonnet.....so sweet!

Aunt Julie fed M her bottle......
Then we changed M into her "casual" Easter outfit- "Baby's First Easter".
J had fun being silly. He ate three of those mini brownie bites for dessert and got a sugar rush. He then decided to sit in M's Bumbo.

Sunday we woke up and J looked at his stash from the Easter Bunny. A new pet! Fred the Beta Fish. Then he hunted for eggs and played before we went to church.

Miss M wore a pretty pink dress and satin pink shoes and J wore new clothes too. He is so weird about clothing. I am totally shocked he would wear the pants.....M looked so sweet! Dressing a girl is so much fun!

Brother and sister....It is so hard to get a decent picture of them together!

After church, we went to my in-laws house for dinner. M was so funny. She was laughing and squealing. J decided he wanted to sleep over Mom-mom's house. He has never slept away before but he really wanted to. So he is there. I am anticipating a phone call at 3 AM to come get him.
On a side note, Miss M got her first sunglasses.....Ain't she cute?

Also, now that she is four months, we can start cereal! Here is our first attempt!

I hope you all had a special Easter!

Wanted: Rest for the weary mind

Tomorrow is my last day of work for a whole 10 days. I am more than thrilled. My mind and body are just exhausted from the daily grind that my life has become. I am looking forward to "sleeping in" which means waking up any time after 4:30 AM. Looking forward to NOT getting ready for my day and rushing out by 6:30. Looking forward to spending time with my hubby and my kids. I hoping that the weather is good so I can go outside and walk. I am hoping to get some things done, maybe a little yard work, vacuuming, folding AND putting away clothes, etc....
I hope to post a blog with pictures so you all can see how big my Little M has gotten. (Can you believe she is almost 4 months old?)
Looking forward to it all!
