Spaghetti Face

Miss M is all about the food. She eats pretty much anything I give her. She has no teeth so sometimes I am unsure what she can mash with those gums of hers. So far, so good- she has eaten many things that I thought required teeth. Tonight, I thought she'd try some spaghetti. She loved it!

I remember J's first spaghetti. He was so messy, we had to bathe him. M was a bit neater, but I also used less sauce! :) I love that she is such a good eater!

Miss M's Baptism

We had Miss M's baptism on Friday. My Uncle is a pastor in another state and came to visit my g-mom. We thought it would be special for him to baptize M. It was in the evening which is not M's good time of night but it still turned out so nice and was a very special evening for us. The pictures are all out of order, but I have a hard time moving them around on the blog. She wore a new gown, as J wore the suit that Paul wore as a baby. She looked so pretty. She was not happy about the water on her head, but was fine once Uncle C handed her back to me. It truly was a wonderful night.

God Bless this little girl.
Notice M grabbing onto Uncle C's jacket.

Godparents, Paul's sisters, Denise and Terry.

J was so happy to be a part of his sister's "bath-tism" so he says.

Notice poor M's wet head. She wasn't happy.

Miss M- growing up before my eyes!

Flu MIst

J and M went to get physicals the other day and J got the FluMist vaccine, while M got the injection. 48 hours later, J is in the nurse's office with a 101 deg. fever! It lasted off and on for over 24 hours and missed 2 1/2 days of school! Arg! Paul took him to the doctor and they said it was indeed a reaction to the FluMist. He won't be getting that again! I will deal with the shot thing in order to avoid the fever. He never reacted to the injection. Any one else in BLoggy land have issues with the Flumist?

Growing up

My baby is growing up so quickly. It is hard to believe that almost 10 months ago, she was doing nothing but eating, sleeping and making dirty diapers. She is such a funny little girl. She is eating "real" food most of the time. She ate pork chops the other day. Yup--pork chops. She doesn't even have any teeth! She loves our real food. Forget the baby food. Girlfriend wants what we have! She can stand on her own (she has done is several times this weekend). She waves bye-bye and gives kisses. Oh how I love those open-mouthed, slobbery kisses on my cheek! She loves her brother more than any of us and lights up and squeals each time she sees him! She crawls really fast and loves to be chased. She does well shopping in the mall, as long as she has a snack. She is drinking from a straw like a pro. It is just unbelievable.
She is being baptized on Friday. I bought her dress yesterday. It is simple but pretty. J wore Paul's christening suit so M needed her own. I am looking forward to the family being together.
BTW- I know I should post a picture of Miss M in her almost 10 month glory, but I left the camera cord in the car and don't feel like getting it right now. Maybe later. :)

I love Fall

I so love Fall. There are so many reasons. First, I love the cooler weather. It is so nice to work and not be sweaty or take the kids to the park and not die of heat. I love the colors. The warm reds, the tans and yellows. The leaves are gorgeous. I drive down a long highway to get to work everyday and in the Fall, the trees are magnificent! I love finding my favorite red/yellow fire colored trees and basking in their glory! I love wearing flip flops with jeans. I like feeling cozy in a sweatshirt. I love smelling the cool brisk air. I like pumpkins and apples. I like dipping said apples into creamy caramel--it just tastes like fall! Thank God for creating this wonderful season!
