There is no certain topic for my post.
Life in our household seems to be returning to ..(dare I say)...normal. My m-in-law is sick again, but she went to the doctor right away and with rest and prayer, she is recouping well. I am feeling SOOOO much better. I had no idea how horrible pneumonia is. But like I said, I am feeling better and that is what counts.
Paul's cousin is redoing our bathroom, nothing huge but there was a little bit of mold behind some of the drywall so he removed that and replaced it. Hopefully, if that was causing us ill, it will be better now. Now I have to find a shower curtain I like so I can pick out paint. We might get him to put in a real tile floor too. I would love that! We will see. I did find a shower curtain I liked but it was $60. I cannot justify a $60 shower curtain. We are going to the Depot today to get new sink fixtures etc....
Miss M is feeling better. She had a runny nose and cough for over a week but is back to her normal, happy self. She is the best baby, but that is a whole 'nother post.
J is doing well is school. He is reading about 45 sight words and loves to write. He is always making books and writing about pictures. IT is exciting to me! He finished up basketball this week. Next is tee-ball.
I am still having trouble keeping up with the housework. As we speak, I am staring at a mountain of laundry that needs to get folded. I was hoping that the laundry fairy would come by while I slept, but that didn't happen!;)
Anyhoo, I am off to Kohl's to shop for a curtain!

Sick
Last Tuesday morning I was diagnosed with pneumonia. It was a long night in the emergency Room and a rough couple of days but I am feeling about 85%. It is hard to do all the "resting" stuff they tell you to do when you are a mom. Just trying to lay low and only do the necessary house stuff. Today's agenda? Airing out the house and washing all of the bed sheets.
Sure wish for normalcy but glad to be feeling better.

Oh no...
We're getting more snow!~ I cannot believe it! I think it will take until June for all of this stuff to go away!
We need some prayers please. My mom has had bronchitis for about two weeks and cannot seem to get well. She is on her 3rd antibiotic. If you would, send up a prayer for her healing. She hasn't worked in two weeks and that isn't good for her either. She is also a bit stir crazy and with the snow, she really cannot go anywhere, even if she was feeling well. God bless her neighbors who have shoveled her out without being asked, and my hubby who delivered her some groceries yesterday and will pick up her meds today.
Pray for the safety of all of us here in this area who are about to get more snow.

Blizzard
The Blizzard came to town today. We measures about 25.5 inches in our yard. We have shoveled about 1/2 out so far, one car, most of the sidewalk. It was super heavy snow so we had to take it easy with the shoveling. Here are some pictures from our "Snowpocalypse".
J being crazy while M screams.

You know that I love snow, right??
Not yesterday I didn't.
Here is why the snowfall of January 30, 2010 was stupid.....
(1) It was a weekend. I have things to do. If it is going to snow, it needs to be on a weekday.
(2) I actually had plans to go out to a Japanese Steak House with my two best friends. Alone. No kids. Just us girls. After the month I have had, I REALLY needed some girl time, you know?
(3) and the WORST... On their way to basketball, Paul and Jake slid in the truck on the snow, hit a curb, spun out and hit the curb again, landed on the sidewalk. The boys were fine...the truck is not.
The guy never moved the tire. That is how it looked. Bent.
The guy with the tow truck said "Bent Wheel axle- that's expensive!" The good news is that we have insurance and a rental car already and BOTH boys didn't get hurt. Thank God for that. Still, we are still dealing with the plumbing thing and Life seems so overwhelming right now. Just keeping the faith. That is all we can do.

The tire is actually slanted.
So all week, we have watched this snowstorm. It kept moving south and the consensus was that we weren't getting anything- maybe a light dusting. Well, we got about 6 inches. Again, a waste on a Saturday.
That is why I think this weekend's snow was stupid.

Stomach yuks
2010 has certainly had its hurdles for us. The saga continued on Wednesday when I was driving to pick up Miss M from the babysitters....
I got pulled over...
for speeding...
caught in a speed trap....
by 3 cops......
with J in the backseat asking a million questions....
I was speeding too, but didn't realize it. poo on me. Luckily, I didn't cry in front of the police officer nor did I give him a lame excuse. I simply said, "I was??" in a shamed voice as he told me I was going 55 in a 40. Who knew? By the grace of God he let me off with a verbal warning.
So feeling like I had won the lottery, I headed off to get the girl.
I walk in to the house and the sitter has M in the kitchen. M had thrown up all over her and her kitchen. M was crying. HORRIBLE!!
I cleaned her up and took her home, where she continued to throw up.
By Friday she was mostly better. Then Friday night, J started with it. Lasted about 12 hours. Then he got better.
Paul and I got to go to an ice hockey game with my sister and BIL. We got to go to dinner. So nice to get out.
Then Sunday came...and I got sick. Upset stomach, chills, body aches. Horrible.
So I called out today even though I still have to pick up J in a few hours.
I am hoping we are all on the mend.
BTW- My MIL is off oxygen and is making great improvements. YAY! Praise the Lord!
